What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer – MCP Integration Specialist to lead the development and integration of our Model Context Protocol (MCP) server with AWS Bedrock. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain APIs and data workflows that enable seamless communication across AI and backend systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design and implement MCP server architecture for AWS Bedrock integration.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
• Collaborate with internal teams to expose existing APIs through the MCP layer.
• Write clean, maintainable Python code with comprehensive documentation.
• Implement data processing workflows using Pandas and Jupyter Notebooks.
• Ensure security best practices and proper API authentication mechanisms.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.

The Skills We're Looking For:

• 7+ years of Python development experience.
• Strong experience with FastAPI or similar web frameworks.
• Proficiency with Pandas for data manipulation and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Jupyter Notebooks for prototyping and analysis.
• Understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with AWS services (Bedrock experience a plus).
• Knowledge of API security and authentication standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have:

• Previous MCP (Model Context Protocol) implementation experience.
• Experience with AI/ML model integration.
• Familiarity with financial data or equity markets.

The Expectations of the Job:

Day One:

• Complete onboarding and gain familiarity with Aretec's technology stack and MCP integration goals.
• Review existing API frameworks and Bedrock integration plans.

Day Thirty:

• Begin contributing to MCP server development and prototype API integrations.
• Participate in design sessions and code reviews.

Day Sixty:

• Take ownership of MCP architecture implementation.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists and backend teams to streamline data workflows.

Day Ninety:

• Lead full MCP-to-Bedrock integration deployment.
• Optimize performance, security, and scalability.
• Mentor junior developers and share best practices across the team.
